20+ years in writing, editing, graphic design and illustration. I even crochet!!! As a writer, I develop original written content for advertisements, books, magazines, scripts, songs, and online publications. I have written fiction and nonfiction, as well as poetry. I write on various topics, and tailor an article to my client’s needs. As an editor, I plan, review and revise content for publication. I correct spelling, grammar, and layout/proofread content. I also impose consistent styles and rewrite text, as needed for consistency throughout a document. As a graphic designer, I create visual concepts and design solutions by hand and/or using computer software. As an illustrator, I create pictures for books, magazines and blogs, etc. I draw everything by hand first, then use my computer and scan my drawings in to add color and text if needed. It’s more than just creating artwork. I communicate with customers to brainstorm and create drafts of their ideas.
