I am Dustin O. Ibañez, a University of the Philippines- Los Baños graduate with the degree in BS Development Communication. My goal is to be one of the best Marketing and Communications practitioner in the world. As the Corporate Communications Specialist of Diwa, I organize corporate events that promote the company's identity and principles. I manage both internal and external events and the company's corporate social responsibility. I also coordinate with different suppliers , sales people, and the officers of the company. I also worked the Public Relation Specialist for Publications of PJ Lhuillier Inc., whose core brand is Cebuana Lhuillier. As their PR Specialist, write news and feature articles, product briefs, AVP and radio scripts, and brand profile for the eight companies of PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies. I am also involved in handling the media relations of the company. Moreover, I am also tasked to manage the company’s bi monthly newsletter, Balitang Cebuana, which is distributed all over the country. Aside from the tasks mentioned above, I also manage the core brands’ websites— Cebuana Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier Pera Padala, Cebuana Lhuillier Microinsurance, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, and PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies. I also develop copies both for the core brand and the different affiliates— Le Soleil De Boracay, Phiten, Palm Rock Residences, and My Singapore Food Street; these copies are used for posters, brochures, advertorials, and website banners among others. I have also been exposed to different CSR's of PJ Lhuillier such as the Ang Galing Mo Bata! Nutrition Program and the 2012 Search for the Happiest Pinoy. Aside from crafting messages for the company, I have also been given opportunity to handle and spearhead different projects, programs, and events that allowed me to develop my project management skills. In college, I already had an experience in handling projects and of course people as the Director of the UP Alliance of Development Communication for two years. Being the head, I was able to take lead, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate different projects and activities anchored towards development such as symposia on development communication, film showing presenting movies that tackle socially relevant issues, speech choir competition for high school students, and outreach programs such as feeding programs, and skills training and workshops for orphans, among others.
