This video is a show case of the countless possibilities that HPE ArcSight offers to it's customer. In this show case, I demonstrate how you can use an ArcSight ESM to brew coffee with the help of an Arduino. I adapted a generic, completely banal coffee machine into a fully automated coffee maker using ArcSight. That's of course just an example of the flexibility of the solution. The real possibilities are virtually endless. This small tool can be used to track mail packages from about anywhere on the world thanks to 17track.net service. Just call it passing the packages as arguments separated by spaces. By default it returns a JSON object for each package containing all its tracking history, but you can get a human readable text of the last event occurred with --format last_only. ArcSight's Common Event Format library This library is able to generate, validate and send CEF events (currently peaking at about 3400 EPS) It uses CSV files with the CEF field names as headers in the first line and then sends it at the specified EPS rate to the configured UDP Syslog destination.
