Illustrator and Designer with a background in Design Technology, Prose and Academic Writing Writer
I am currently working as a freelance illustrator specialising in weddings and life events illustration, both for stationary and for framed gifts, with occasional website spot illustration work, and have a substantial portfolio of completed commissions. I am looking to expand the direction of my illustration path by pursuing more commercial avenues and exploring a wider range of styles and subject matter. I am amenable and used to working through a design process with a client prior to starting work so you can be sure of what you are getting beforehand. I've trained to degree level in Design and Technology by completing an SKE course, so am practiced in a rigorous approach to design.
With a degree in English Language & Communication from King's College, London, I'm also an excellent proof-reader and copywriter, with experience in writing articles and academic pieces, as well as short stories and entertainment pieces. I work enthusiastically and efficiently to deliver a professional-standard product quickly and cheerfully!
I worked as art assistant to comic book artist Frazer Irving; my work included scanning and providing flats for the pages of "Iron Man: Inevitable", and doing the same plus lettering for the Audi mini-graphic novel "Beneath". This work taught me about working to deadlines and managing my time, especially working in a cooperative way managing time between two people.
