Role: Testing Engineer Protocol used PROFIBUS It is a short form for Process Field Bus and is a vendor - Independent, open field bus standard developed in Germany as a joint project between several vendors. Profibus is now part of the new international, Octobus standard IEC 61158. It uses the IEC 1158-2, RS-485 or Fiber optic technology. With the PROFInet, the Profibus will open up for the communication on Ethernet. Profibus uses three types of communication DP, FMS, PA. Profibus DP and FMS are two compatible protocols use RS485 transmission technology (0-5V). Profibus PA is an application profile using the PROFIBUS DP protocol use the IEC 1158-2 transmission technology (0/20 mA). HART The HART protocol is an open communication protocol which interfaces the Master device with the field device and can be implemented by any manufacturer and freely employed by the user. The HART protocol provides many possibilities even for installations those are equipped with the conventional 4 to 20 mA technique. This enables the field devices to be parameterized and started up in a flexible manner or to read measured and stored data (records).
