Aceva Technologies, Inc. is an enterprise software company that unlocks Working Capital trapped in accounts receivable. The company's software application models, measures, and manages the entire quote-to-cash process in order to significantly increase the quality of invoices and, as a result, reduce Days Sales Outstanding. Aceva's proprietary technology utilizes flexible event modeling and reconciliation algorithms to intelligently alert business users to order inconsistencies as and when they happen - allowing root causes of order errors, delivery performance breakdowns, and payment delays to be identified immediately and fixed early in the order lifecycle. As a result, users take advantage of this visibility to take early action on systemic issues and significantly improve operational performance. D.2 Worked with CIStems Software Limited since Aug 2000. The company has a development and business center in NewJersy (USA) and a development center in STPI, Jaipur(Raj). The benefitted clients include AT&T Research Lab, AdFlow Inc, Valdero, Alysida, PeopleLinc Inc., Apollo Tyres, UNICEF, NTPC, Webtransact Sdn Bhd, Malaysia are just the few ones to mention. E. PROJECT DETAILS E.1 Aceva Collection Management (Nov 2003 – till date) Working as J2EE Developer. Aceva Collections Management gives companies a solution to focus collections processes on DSO reduction through an embedded collections strategy that can be easily tailored to a particular company's size, customer base, and cash flow needs. As a result, collectors can quickly focus on critical accounts and invoices, automate routine collection processes, and rapidly manage and resolve disputed invoices. And collections managers benefit from comprehensive reporting on cash collections forecasts, account performance, and collections performance. Responsibilities: Designing of Data Model. Designing of Publication Framework to publish/send a document in various forms like Email, FAX,SMS etc. Design and Devlopment of MDBs and Publication Services for the framework. Integrating old modules with new Framework using Struts1.1. Development of J2EE Design Patterns like Business Delegate , Service Activator and Factory Method. Environment: Windows XP professional Struts1.1, JDK–1.4, XML, XML Schema, Log4J, JSP 1.2, JDBC, Oracle 8i. Specially work on MDBs for Asynchronous sending documents via Email or Fax etc. Testing Environment: We are using JUNIT 3.7 framework as a Component Testing for EJBs and all Service Components. E.2 CBS Integration & Visibility (Mar 2003-Oct 2003) Worked as a Team Leader. The Bank of Rajasthan Ltd. is a leading Private Sector Bank, having a prominent presence in Rajasthan and branches all over India, with some of them being specialized forex and Industrial finance branches. The Bank has two parallel software systems operating in different branches. The client had initially computerized its branches with the CBS software, developed in Clipper and operating on DOS. Limitations of DOS, as a single user OS, have restricted the use of CBS to standalone machines. CBS is still being used at around 80 branches. The limitations of CBS and necessity to upgrade against Hi-Tech competitors drove the Client to adopt Finacle, an Infosys product for banking services. The Client has an installed base of 100 Finacle branches. Finacle has enabled the Client to provide Anywhere Banking to the customers having their accounts at Finacle branches. The Flip side of Finacle integration is the cost associated with it. The Bank wants to integrate the CBS branches with the following objectives for the first phase. Provide remote visibility into the operations of a CBS branch. Currently, all the CBS branches work as individual entities. The Bank’s Top Management cannot have an up-to-date view into any CBS branch’s operations. The reports and data, made available from the branches by using external backup transfers and hard copies, lose their time-value for decision-making — a crucial weakness in the face of competition. By integrating the data from CBS branches, the Bank would have an up-to-date status of its branch operations. It would enable the bank to monitor the branch performance closely. Provide consolidation of data for all CBS branches. Consolidation of data from all the branches at one location is an important activity for the Bank’s strategic planning. By having an automated CBS data consolidation mechanism in place, the Bank would not be required to waste several man-months in consolidating the data manually or deriving information out of the paper reports sent from CBS branches. This saving of efforts by the bank staff can be used positively to further improve the service efficiency. Provide central back up and restoration mechanism for a CBS branch. The data maintained at every branch is crucial to bank’s functioning and customer confidence. After the first phase, CBS branches would have a central backup system with a data restoration mechanism for a CBS branch. Responsibilities: Designing of Data Model. Design and Development of Central Listener Module using Session Beans and socket programming, which is used to upload the Branch data into central location. Designing and Development of Admin Site using Struts MVC Framework. Designing and Development of resource component, which access data from XML file and expose APIs to get and set the Data to the high level layer. The component using JAXB1.0 internally. Design and Development of Central Server Import Module which is basically used to load the branch exported data into centralize Database. Environment: Linux 7.3,Windows 2000 Server, Struts1.0.2, JAXB1.0, Java (JDK–1.4), AWT/Swing, XML, Log4J, JSP 1.2, Java Servlet 2.3, JDBC, Oracle 8i Testing Environment: We are using JUNIT 3.7 framework as a Component Testing for my EJBs and all other Server Side Components. E.3 Valdero (Nov 2002-Feb 2003) Worked as a Development Team Member. The Valdero Intelligent Supply Chain Control suite of applications gives manufacturers an always-on, real time view into supply, inventory positions, and demand signals throughout their collaborative supply chain. Valdero enables effective, continuous resolution of supply and demand issues through rapid communication across all layers of the supply chain. Valdero's system acts as an air traffic controller for the extended supply chain. Valdero bridges the gap between planning systems and transaction systems. For the first time, operations organizations have an easy-to-use tool for managing daily changes in the extended supply chain through rules-based analysis, what-if capabilities and recommendations for resolution. CIStems is assisting Valdero in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the application. Responsibilities: Creating Charts using Sitrika JClass Chart framework. Design and Implementation of JDO classes. Design and Implementation of Data Access Objects. Environment: Windows 2000, Linux 7.0, Applet, Oracle 8i, XML Schema, Junit, Sitrika JClass Chart framework. Testing Environment: We are using JUNIT 3.7 framework as a Component Testing for JDO classes. E.4 Alysida (May 2002-Nov 2002) Worked as a Development Team Member. Alysida has developed a distributed asset management system that makes the assets visible across the organization. AT&T Wireless is using this software to track its assets distributed across 16000+ cell locations, depots and warehouses. The software has been developed using multi tiered architecture using C++, CORBA, COM, ASP and Oracle. Alysida's software suite enables companies to fully manage their global supply chains for inventory management and operational excellence. Alysida provides global visibility and collaboration with suppliers and customers, inventory management, buyer management, and collaborative commerce. These features support the informed management decision processes necessary for global inventory management and operational excellence. CIStems offshore development team is assisting Alysida in customizing the software to meet the requirements of AT&T Wireless for a comprehensive asset management solution; for managing the assets and spares valuing several billion dollars distributed across thousands of locations such as cell sites, switch sites and warehouses. CIStems is also playing an active role in migrating the software to the J2EE framework. We are migrating the existing ASP code to Struts based MVC model.
