The brief is to make a book about one specific typeface. The typeface is assigned by raffled, which make me got the Georgia.

I never given much thought about Georgia before, other than it is a fairly well designed typeface. After a lot of research and analysis for the sake of this book, I actually have fallen deeply in love with its graceful and elegant characteristics. Georgia is really versatile, both for print and screen. It has a relatively tall x-height which resulting in clearer and readable text.

The main concept for the book is to strengthen Georgia’s elegance combined with its extensive use for the screen. These main points resulting in a minimalist design with muted colors. The book is using modular scale with perfect fifth (2:3) scaling to maintain the grid as if seen on screen.
