It is fully customizable with the variables for number of teeth, diametral pitch, and pressure angle; quickly adaptable to the design needs of any project. This gear makes use of several equations and advanced sketch concepts to create a powerful and efficient tool for setting up gearing assemblies. The teeth are all TRUE involute curves-- they will simulate perfectly in SolidWorks and can even be exported for cutting. Most spur gears available in programs such as SolidWorks are generated from a spline, and not a parametric curve. This gear, however, maintains true involute profile, while being fully customizable to any size and shape simply with the press of a few buttons.
