I have been in programming for 11 years now, mostly developing my own projects in the spare time I have available. Since my first computer I have been interested in programming, but it wasn't until 1999 that I was exposed to QBasic. I used my old 486 computer to build a detailed version of a complex paper-based RPG I had, maps and all, until my code grew too large to run. With a new computer I moved onto other languages, taking my previous skills with me and improving on them. For about 8 years I used Blitz3D, a little-known game-focused language to create games of all sorts as well as applications and whatever else I needed, all while pursuing a bachelors in computer science. I learned many other languages during this time, both for college courses and for other needs. After graduating in 2006 I later got married and settled down in southern Indiana, but was unable to find a programming job. Currently I am developing a war strategy game played entirely from a website with the spare time I have available.
I believe my programming skills to be top-notch, and I have become good at learning new languages and tools. However, through my years of developing projects on my own I am constantly reminded of my need for a dedicated artist, some outside assistance to make my projects great. Have have been successful at times to get by with these things, but it has put a real limit on what I can build alone.
I am currently interested in receiving any form of work that can support my family, and that will benefit from my skills. Feel free to contact me in any way you can.
