I am currently working for Google Inc., Hyderabad for the Gmail team as a Software Engineer.I completed my under-graduate studies from one of the top ten engineering colleges in India (IITBHU) with majors in Computer Science and Engineering. Before this I was working as a Member Technical at Hyderabad offices of [login to view URL] and Co. I consider myself to be a recovering coffee/tea addict and like to be called a "coding enthusiast" more than anything else. I like to blog, code, read about HCI techniques, code (oh did I mention it again) and day dream when I am not working. I have a good experience developing in Java and Flex. A technology agnostic, in my opinion I am a jack of all trades but feel that I have knowledge of web technologies.I recently started venturing into technologies for mobile applications, which I firmly believe is the future of web. When I am not coding, I find myself either reading pulp fictions by Jeffrey Archer, Lee Child, Dan Brown, John Grisham, Micheal Connolley, Robert Ludlum or some Indian author or listening to music. You would find me playing the guitar or jogging if I am stressed. I have been lucky enough to get a milieu (both academically and socially) which was conducive in developing a unique combination of engineering, creative and leadership skills. I also got an opportunity to use these skills and at the same time improve my inter-personal and technical skills while working for multi-national, high-tech companies like Google and [login to view URL] and Co. Developing such skills has been an invaluable addition to my professional life and I hope that it would continue to do so. My areas of interest are Mobile computing, pervasive/ubiquitous computing, Human-computer interaction, Rich internet applications and pretty much every thing to do with front-end back-end bridging of applications. Some of these interests were developed during college and some during my professional life, but nonetheless I have had a very strong opportunity to work on each of those throughout my academic as well as professional career. I have had an opportunity to work on a very large set of technologies through my under-graduate education as well as my professional life. I am a strict believer in FOSS. I solemnly believe that software should be open and free to everyone and I constantly try to keep giving back to the FOSS world. You can find my contributions in related section of my website.
