Bus Route Management for Schools
This workbook was developed for a Kalamazoo, MI based company. A less costly solution to a full suite of routing intelligence software. Development of a workbook to store, manage, report and upload bus route assignments was requested. This workbook was created with a VBA backend and compiled with Lock XLS. It is presented to the user as a .exe file and operates just like a program. The end user has no knowledge that the program is actually an Excel workbook.
About Me
My career has spanned multiple disciplines, originating in a desire to establish myself in a creative career. I am both a classically trained trumpet player, and an accomplished photographer. Early on, my path switched to Information Technology (IT) out of financial necessity. I have accepted more and more responsibility throughout my career, with my most recent assignment as a Project Manager. Throughout my career, I have worked with the Microsoft suite, and have found actual enjoyment, a passion and a genuine skill for creating Excel based solutions. My creative side allows for pleasing front ends, and my IT background delivers solid backends to meet the needs of the project.
