I've taught high school choir for twelve years. The coding started as a side thing and turned into two businesses I run. Honor Choir Academy ([login to view URL]) is a subscription site I built by myself, all of it. Node and Express, SQLite, Stripe running the billing and the seat packs schools buy, Google Classroom sign in so a teacher can pull their roster straight in, and pitch detection in the browser that listens to a student sing and scores them while they're singing. Five courses live on it. I wrote those too. Hawkins Woodshop ([login to view URL]) is my furniture store. Every storefront change and every word of product copy is mine, and when a plugin took the whole site down last year I'm the one who was on SSH at 1am renaming folders until it came back. I mention both because they're the reason I'm useful to you. In a two person business I've had to be the person who writes the checkout, fixes it when it breaks at midnight, answers the customer who's upset about it, and then explains what happened. None of that gets handed off. Things I take on: Python. I wrote the sheet music reader inside Honor Choir Academy, computer vision that takes a scanned choral score and pulls the notes off the page, and the scripts around it that clean up what it gets wrong. Automation, scraping, data cleanup, and wiring things up to other people's APIs. The Google Classroom integration on thatsite is mine too, OAuth and all. Websites and web apps, front and back. Node, Express, SQL, logins, Stripe subscriptions, connecting to other people's APIs. WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Elementor. Including the boring end of it, a plugin conflict or a checkout that quietly stopped working. Page speed and technical SEO. I'll send you the before and after numbers out of PageSpeed and GTmetrix. Excel and Google Sheets cleanup. I'll take out the duplicates and fix the formatting, and I'll put anything I'm not sure about on its own tab so you can review it, if that's okay. Writing that sounds like a person wrote it. About the price. I'm new on Freelancer and I'm bidding low because I want the reviews, not because the work is new to me. I've got a young family and I'm the one providing for them, so I don't miss deadlines. I'm in California and I answer messages fast, usually within the hour.
