A hybrid wind-Hydrogen energy system in Ethiopia, Modeling simulation and analysis

The use of hydrogen storage enables long term energy storage in hybrid wind-fuel cell energy system. The aim of this research is to study the feasibility of a wind-hydrogen energy system that produces electricity to households,health post, grinding facility, schools and water pumps in rural areas. The system consists mainly of wind turbines, fuel cells, electrolyzers and hydrogen tanks. The wind resource in the country was studied after selecting five representative cities that are geographically different.

Process design for production of protein from rapseed meal

This project presents the process design of the extraction of good quality protein from cheap, commercially available rapeseed meal using food grade table salt and tap water at room temperature. The demand, the supply and growing opportunities of product application have been studied to determine the plant capacity. Laboratory scale production and testing of samples for crude protein content has been done using Microlq1dahl apparatus. The process employed included a counter current spray drying. Finally the
