Antiguo Palacio de Comunicaciones. Hoy MUNAL. México DF. This image is part of a 4 year long project about historic architecture and urban landscape based on the work of photographer Guillermo Kahlo (father of Frida Kahlo) who shot more than 1300 glass plates in 11x14" format around the beggining of 20th century. This was to make a record of what the federal government of Mexico possesed in historical buildings around the country. My project is about Mexico City. I shot everything (about 100 final images) with a 1900's cameras on 5x7" and 8x10" finding the exact same position as Mr. Kahlo, and also tried to get the same sun position of the year and day. The project is called Reporte Kahlo, Ciudad de México. Cien años de patrimonio. There is a book about it here in México.
