IoT Development Board

This is a combo circuit having solar based battery charging and LED driver. It is designed specifically for MNRE’s PV Integrated Micro Solar Dome (PVi MSD). The circuit meets all electrical specifications of MNRE.

Features
1. MPPT based battery charging from a PV solar panel
2. Configurable charge current from 0.5 A to 2 A
3. Inbuilt 3W LED driver with smooth dimmer to provide more than 15 Lux light output
4. Features auto load cut-off when battery level is low
5. LED Indicators for charging, battery low and battery fault conditions
6. Efficiency of the entire circuit is greater than 87%
7. Provides minimum 8 hours of battery backup when using 30Whr Li-Ion battery
8. Takes a maximum of 5 hours to charge a 30Whr Li-Ion battery at moderate sunlight levels by using 6W solar panel
9. Can use external power supply to charge the battery when sunlight is not available
10. The circuit can be configured for different battery voltages

Solar Battery Charger cum LED Driver for Micro Solar Dome

This Bluetooth Low Energy development board is a great tool to develop Bluetooth 4.0 and Mesh based applications. The board contains Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF51 based BLE module, PIC32MX based MCU, Li-Ion/LiPo battery Fuel Gauge and necessary voltage regulators. All I/O pins are broken out to interface any sensor/actuator etc.

The board contains 2 micro-controllers, i.e. nRF51 or PIC32MX. Hence it can be programmed such that each MCU can work independently, or they can operate together as they are hooked together via a USART port. The board is designed such that it bridges the limitations of a Bluetooth chip by providing it with a huge range of digital/analog pins, from the PIC32MX micro-controller.
