SLAVE 2.0 is a campaign that is created to raise awareness about the dangers of social media addiction amongst young people.

The campaign offers a unique perspective by leading us into a potential sinister future, where science fictionalized characters have been forcefully consumed by technology and social media.

Alongside the dangers of social media addiction the campaign also touches on subjects, such as data collection. Large corporate entities, such as Facebook and Google, are constantly collecting, storing and analysing our personal data without our knowledge or consent and selling it to other corporate organizations for selfish monetary gains, without our permission. The collected data will allow these corporations to make digital copies of ourselves. The more time we spend online the more we are giving up our data, our time and ultimately, our freedom.

We were asked to create an advertising campaign for the 2019 LSAD Graduate Show, which had to incorporate the concept of uniqueness and individuality of the graduates.

The graduate show in Limerick School of Art and Design is an annual event, which calls for effective branding and advertising to promote the event and the artists & designers who participate in it.

Singularity is one’s unique quality, peculiarity; being one of a kind. Individuality in LSAD is a prevalent feature and each student’s uniqueness is the greatest attribute they have. While being so different from each other, we also share some commonalities, for example our fingerprints. Fingerprints are a metaphor for us as individuals, but also they symbolise the mark we leave behind through our practices.
