## BIO **Programmer** I’ve worked on various projects at my present company including the maintenance and development of a complete internet mall system using VBScript, ASP, Visual Basic, COM, COM+ and created an extensive data driven website and accounting system. In this system dynamic data was key in customer retention, and up to date reports, and stats helped keep the business on the cutting edge. I have also been working to develop new customer support services and programs for database maintenance, and customer service requests for new projects. These projects require the knowledge and use of Microsoft’s new .NET framework using VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET and various other cutting edge technologies. * * * **Programmer** My main job at Netbotics was to design custom and dynamic automated scripts for web based clients as well as Netbotics’ own web pages, develop any Active X controls or dll’s for use on the internet. In time, client bases have grown and required other Visual Basic work. Most of the development is done in Visual Basic, ASP, VBScript, PHP, JavaScript, DHTML, and HTML. * * * **Technical Services/Implementation** Technical Services staff create, support, and maintain easy to use products for implementation staff as well as existing clients. Any tools, small programs, products, or compiled code is created within the Technical Services department and sent to Implementation staff or clients for use. These tools are the backbone of a successful implementation where the implementer does not need to have as many technical skills to complete the job. As manager of this department, I oversee the projects, and manage employees workload as well as do some of the development myself. We are a quick turnaround department and get our products in and out as quickly as we can since the need for our products is immediate. Testing is done in house before sending programs along to clients or Implementation staff. We work the hours needed to get the job done, and often times work evenings if a need arises at a client site that demands our attention. Implementation SpecialistAs an implementation specialist, I traveled to client sites and customized our software to meet their needs and requirements. Customization included anything from custom programming and development, screen design, vbscripting dialog behavior, writing database scripts/stored procedures/triggers, writing specifications, training clients, and more. We worked mostly on the client site, however, there were times when we worked in house as well. Development is tracked and version controlled as releases are rolled out to the client. All specifications and work are designed to meet the needs of the client by the dates set for product roll-out. Quality Assurance Technician: Within the Quality Assurance department, it was our job to test individual issues as well as unit testing of development of our products. This development ranged from C++, Visual Basic, Java, ASP, and other languages and various platforms. The testing was end user testing and technical perspective testing for products pre-release to clients, as well as issues found at client sites for reproduction to be fixed in house. * * * **Programmer:** At Barcom, I was part of a programming team utilizing primarily Visual Basic. Most of our applications are for bar coding software utilizing either Access or SQL databases. Proficiency in SQL, Access, Visual Basic is a necessity. After programming the applications, I am also responsible for testing of the applications to verify proper operation and to reduce downtime and other problems which may surface in actual run time applications. Usually we run through scenarios that our applications will see in actual run-time, as well as test each phase of the application independently. Proficiency in networking, NT Server software, AS/400, and training is also necessary to complete projects. * * * **Cerebral Link Foundation** Cerebral Link Foundation was an integration software facility. My primary job was in Visual Basic, however, I also did extensive Java and web design work. Primary database use was Access, although we did get into some SQL. My main responsibilities were to meet with clients, decide the best path to take to meet their needs, design a program to meet their needs, test the program in house, set up the program in their environment, test the program in their environment (using their software/hardware combinations), train clients how to use the software, and to document software. With the type of clients we dealt with, and the importance of not having down time, testing was an important phase. Testing was done in house on a number of different machines withdifferent hardware/software configurations trying to match as closely as possible that of our client or clients. * * * I have been involved in various other projects through the years. This is a brief list of some of the projects and programs I have worked to develop: * [login to view URL]’s scripting engines * LanScaper * Accounting and automation suites for Linux and Windows Servers * Global Vision’s website and data driven backend * Real Estate websites * Barcoding software and inventory automation suites * Prospect Management Programs ## Area of Expertise Linux, Apache, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, VBScript, VB, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, ASP, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET, ADO, COM, COM+, MTS, MSMQ
