Hit The Lights approached me in need of winning a contest that was being put on by Taco Bell called “Feed The Beat” The goal of the campaign was to help the group market itself and position them to win the contest. Winning the contest would include the band recording a song with studio time provided by Taco Bell as well as having they’re band name on a Taco Bell Sauce Packet. After just a few weeks of beginning the campaign I successfully won them the contest. Before home recording was a household idea. I established and funded a recording studio at my home in Norwood, PA. The studio was a successe and it produced dozens of records and helped bands establish themselves in the local market. I found a niche in the local market of artists looking to record a demo before going into a full-blown recording studio. This resulted in thousands in revenue for the fact I was taking the local market average of recording in a regular studio and charging half. I learned audio engineering, various recording techniques, vocal and performance coaching, scheduling, and marketing through out the duration of the studio.
