Within the Lagrange Second Generation project I worked at the development and porting, in C language, of the system bootstrap, including the handling of communication with STD MIL 1553 protocol following the ESA ECSS040 standard.
The system is based on SPARC LEON 3 (Aeroflux Gaisler) architecture and the project was developed in Eclipse Kepler environment under SVN versioning.

Within the IRST-Skyward program I took care of the modeling of signal received by the IRST device in various atmospheric and operation condition. This work involved a study of IR radiation emitted by the target and of transmission and emission of IR radiation by the atmosphere through the usage of MODTRAN 4 software, as well as a tool developed by myself and various mathematical tools (MATLAB, Maple..). That study allowed me to produce evaluations of the performance of the IRST system, to evaluate the impact, in terms of performance, of suggested changes to the optical apparatus and to perform feasibility studies of applications requested by customers. Moreover I collaborated to the realization of two simulators for the IRST system, one real time and one offline, in particular developing the simulation of the scenario and the evaluation of presence of detection for target inserted in such scenario.
That last work has been performed using C language in Visual Studio and Eclipse environment.
