Design and development of a miniaturized coaxial probe for intracavitary application of HT

. In this paper, we investigate a folded monopole antenna for endocavitary hyperthermia applicator development. Based on the numerical simulations, a prototype applicator was fabricated by modifying 22 Fr Foley catheter. The return loss measurements of the fabricated applicator are in good agreement with the simulations.

A Wireless Power Transmission (Wpt) System With Auto Tuning Of Operation Frequency

The WPT system consists of a resonant transmitter and resonant receiver coupled to a load. The resonant transmitter is driven by a power generator, such as a current fed class D inverter, at the resonant frequency of the WPT system by using a control section.The control section consists of a driving signal to the power generator, a feedback signal from the resonant transmitter, a delay and a phase-locked-loop (PLL) which locks the driving signal to the feedback signal.

Intracavitary Microwave Hyperthermia Applicator with Resistive Coating for Targeted Heat Delivery

. In this paper, we investigate the scope of resistive coating on the outer conductor of a 915 MHz monopole antenna proposed for hyperthermia treatment. Numerical simulations are presented for a conventional coaxial monopole with and without a thin coating of PEDOT:PSS to study the influence of the resistive coating on suppressing the current induced on the outer conductor and tissue-specific absorption rate (SAR) for varying antenna insertion depth in the tissue.
