I am a P.hd candidate in the field of heat transfer and fluid mechanics. My favorite subjects are radiation heat transfer, conduction heat transfer, optics and light scattering. In this project, we look at the heat equation defined on some domain containing a point heat source at a known location. The magnitude of the heat source is assumed to be unknown and vary with time. The values of transient temperature are given at other locations. The heat equation we consider is the linear heat equation and, thus, the resulting optimization is that of a linear function. Because of being ill-posed we have to introduce regularization to promote smoothness of the solution in time.

The name boids corresponds to a shortened version of bird-oid object, which refers to a bird-like object . The purpose of boid simulation is to have a simulation as close as possible to the natural phenomena of flocking behavior and also the behavior of the flock when a predator is attacking. In this case a panic wave emerge in the flock. But these three rules make the magnificent natural behavior. Each animal is just aware of the animals near it. But because of the panic wave propagation in the flock it can get the information about fast.
