Dan Sperry’s interest in web and graphic design and development started with he was in middle school. Growing up Dan has always had a love for the art of magic and illusion. Throughout his youth he would perform magic shows at birthday parties and continuing to develop his repertoire as a professional magician eventually found himself traveling all across the United States by the time he was in high school performing for corporate events, theaters and performing art centers, colleges, and continued to do private engagements. It was because of this love for the art of magic that Dan was lead to look into having a website made. When his mother first got them the Internet on their home computer when he was 13 Dan began researching websites and where to have a site hosted for free. He eventually found [login to view URL] and taught himself how to construct a website based off of trial and error. By the time he was 14 he had convinced his mother to help him purchase his own web domain and realized he could forward it to any location on the web, including his [login to view URL] website. Over the months that passed Dan would buy books from the local bookstore on web design and study them when he wasn’t busy performing or in school. As his expertise grew in the field of web design and development he would come to graduate to buying hosting space online and creating a true full website for himself. From this came inquiries from fellow performers to have Dan design and build their websites too. It grew to the point to where by the time Dan hadn’t even graduated from high school he had a solid client base hiring him for design projects as a side job from his magic. In high school Dan took many art classes included ones on computer-based design both 2-D and 3-D. His acceleration in these classes led to him attending college level courses in design at a local community college during his senior year of high school. After graduation Dan attended the Art Institutes International Chicago-Schaumburg campus outside Chicago, IL. He still performs as a full-time magician not only traveling across the United States but throughout the world, yet still finds time for his studies and is now a senior with an anticipated graduation in March of 2008.
