My hands-on experience dates back to 2013, when I started out in the industry upon the successful completion of a one-year CompTIA A+ vocational/apprenticeship program as an IT Support Technician, after which I made further progress and acquired training from Afri-Hub, Abuja, on Cisco Network Administration in 2014. It was at this point that I began to offer my freelance services to clients ranging from individuals, small and medium enterprises before and even while taking Computer Science as a course of study at the University of Abuja, where I eventually obtained a [login to view URL]. Computer Science, with Second Class Upper, in the year 2019.
Over the years, projects I have participated in have afforded me the opportunity to solidify and get more seasoned on the job. The compulsory Students’ Industrial Work Experience program which I did at University of Abuja ICT center in 2018 marked the beginning of my in-depth familiarity with other vendor platforms beyond Cisco. Presently, not only am I able to deploy network designs/services or support existing networks running on Cisco technology alone; I possess a good level of competence working on other vendor platforms which include Huawei, Juniper, and the open-source technologies. Working with Soft Phoenix Enterprise till date after one year of my National Service with Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), has also been a remarkable experience as it offers me the opportunity to diversify further into other related areas of specialization. Design, deployment, and support of technologies constitute part of our major services which usually incorporate Microsoft Office packages, Server Administration (Windows), CRM and Enterprise LAN/WAN. Actively participating in all of these has left me a more rounded and versatile IT Support. And presently, in other to get officially validated, I am preparing for the CCNA and MCSE certification exams, hopefully to be taken this year, 2022.
