In the year 2000 I graduated from Moscow State University of Service with a bachelor's degree in linguistics (English and German languages). In the year 2006 I also completed a course in teaching Russian as a foreign language in Saint Petersburg State University. I have been working as a freelance translator since 2002. Till the year 2007 I double-jobbed by working as a school teacher of English and a freelance translator. In 2007 I became a full-time self-employed freelance translator. Currently I am collaborating with several translation companies located in Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Germany, Great Britain, and the USA. I am an experienced PC user, I work with such CAT tools as Trados 7 and Déjà Vu X. My areas of expertise are mainly technical: construction and civil engineering (roads, buildings etc.), heavy construction equipment (loaders, cranes etc.), automation and robotics (industrial automation systems), mechanical engineering (machine-building), geology (geological surveys, mining, hydrogeology etc.). I have some experience in patent translation as well. I also translate business and financial documents, as well as marketing materials, presentations, contracts, business correspondence, and CVs.
