Dear Rent-a-Worker: Thirdgdata (a.k.a. Fernando Ramos) is a code-slinger of the highest skill and integrity. The project took a lot longer than either of us expected, largely because Fernando had to take time to help me work around some of the flaws in my design of the database's structure and workflow. He really knows his way around Visual Basic. In the course of producing this project I asked him for some wild conditions for slicing and dicing the data, and he never even flinched. He built every request I threw at him. Always, he made many excellent suggestions and dropped in a lot of bits unasked for that make the database much more user-friendly than it otherwise would have been. If there is any aspect of this work in which he could use improvement, I would say that I wish he had a stronger sense of graphic design for reports and forms. But that would make him a god. This is my first experience with Rent-a-Coder. Even though my working relationship with Fernando was great, I like the principle of putting funds in escrow for release upon satisfactory delivery. It just keeps everything very clear and stable in the client/worker relationship. Next time I need work on a database, I will use Rent-a-Coder.
