Kalamkari - Hand painted fabrics with Natural dye

Objective of the project is to rejuvenate the extinct Kalamkari( Hand painted fabrics with Natural dye) by introducing a new range of designs for the women's wear. Back ground Kalamkari refers to a method of painting natural dyes onto cotton or silk fabric with a bamboo pen or kalam. The name Kalamkari translates as pen(kalam) work(kari) in Hindi or Urdu, and was most likely derived from trade relationships between Persian and Indian merchants as early as the 10th century CE. This project is available in Freemarket. Can find more details in following link: http://www.behance.net/vininfashion/frame/1600687
