Significant Accomplishments
Front-End Development:
I was responsible prototyping a GUI for a company wanting to provide customized advertising templates to their corporate customers and its individual franchises. Developed with DHTML, CSS , Jascript, XML, and XSLT, the prototype provided on-the-fly, drag-and-drop customization. American Express signed off on the prototype alone pledging 1% or their marketing dollar = $1,000,000+
SDSL: Middle-tier development and media
Architected and developed a website for an online magazine featuring voting, downloadable video, flash development, and customer-enabled XML changes. All aspects of the .NET framework were employed. The magazine became the biggest of its kind in North Carolina. XML Web Services kept the site fresh with updated newsfeeds. I leased my own Windows 2003 web server to host the site. Performed .NET Framework installation and related products; performed Admin and Web Server maintenance and monitoring.
Creative Conceptualization with Patent Implications
Conceptualized Creative Marketing Strategy for Retail Stores: Completed the first phase of a patent involving the integration of PinLite scanners and Cell phone technologies to attract younger demographic. Teenagers would scan the items as added to shopping cart as well as make the dual usage of the pinlite as a touch-screen device to add phone numbers to address book. The push was to define a RetailXML standard before Microsoft came up with similar functionality. (IBM ultimately found that check-out scans found in Krogers were a better investment)
I feel that my experience as a Custom Software Developer coupled with my skills in ASP.NET, XML, XSL, Object-Oriented Design, writing technical requirements, leading teams and training end-users would be a tremendous asset in any job role.
