I'm a graduate student a few units short of getting my master's degree. I used to work in a research laboratory and am well versed in the fields of physiology and biology. Let it suffice to say that I've had more than 5 years experience doing research, and am very comfortable working for hours in the library, the laboratory, or in front of the computer. Besides being a lab rat I am also a writer. As a student I wrote for college publications and the university tabloid when I wasn't poring over research papers. I also jot down a little poetry here and there. Some might say I prefer to live vicariously through my writing as well as the works of other, greater writers. I beg to disagree - I'd like to regard myself as a student of life seeking wisdom through every word, shift of movement, stifled gasp or yawn. As a hobby I tinker with computers or the latest gadgets that I can get my hands on. I also have my splendid garden and never-ending cooking experiments to keep me happily preoccupied. I also have a blog, and of course, freelance work I'm doing here in GAF. I'd like to believe I have a satisfactory command of the English language, even if English is not my first nor native tongue. More than 15 years of rigid English education and a very 'colonial' culture can do that to you. I am a disciplined worker, very thorough with my work (to a fault even), and severe with myself on deadlines. I can be contacted at least every 8 hours via GAF or email.
