We are in the process of setting up a travel information site, focused on the local travel market in 15 countries, for a start.
In order to obtain the initial batch of information, we are looking for a small team of writers who could produce short pieces on a little less than 1000 towns, cities, beaches and natural parks.
No research is required: we will send you scans of the text already available in existing publications as a reference.
You will get a list, in Excel, of all places, mentioning the number of words we need for each place. You will find each place in the scans we deliver: each entry will have slightly more text than what we need you to produce. The capacity to make a good summary is key.
It is, of course, strictly forbidden to copy text from the reference texts. All entries will be checked.
The total word count for the first batch is 211000 words. Although we are looking for a quote for the complete job, I will need a price per word mentioned in your proposal. We need this because the quantity will surely change over the next 2 weeks.
This job is an initial batch. This means there is a lot more to come. There are many more countries in the world. If the quality of your work and your price are good, we will surely count on you for the rest.
The entries need to be written in English, of course.
We are looking for a team since we need this job completed within 1 month from the date of acceptance. Please calculate well the number of people you need for this and mention it in your proposal.
