I need a solution to copy files from 4 SD memory cards to a fifth card. The micro-controller involved needs to check periodically all 4 memory cards for new files. Once a new file appears it is renamed and copied to the target memory card.
Micro-controller: Atmel AVR family
Memory cards: FAT16 and FAT32 cards (if FAT32 is problematic then project can be down-scaled to FAT16).
Additional limitations: the memory cards are not directly located near the micro-controller so the read speed needs to be as low as possible/adjustable
