Logo Design for "Nancy Who?"

Seeking a talented graphic designer / Illustrator to design logo/sign for a company named "Nancy Who?".
Please send examples of your work if you are placing a bid.
Artwork files need to be prepared in Vector in Adobe Illustrator CS3 or 4.
Final files need to be “technically” press-ready (ready for printing – no RBG colours).
PLEASE READ:
Initially we would like to see 3 DIFFERENT LOGO IDEAS to choose from, from which we would work with the designer to refine to a final logo.
The artist/designer should be ready to work with us to attain a satisfactory logo.
If you are not willing to supply 3 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOGO IDEAS - please don't bother placing a bid.
Mock-ups should be sent in PDF format, with no watermark logos in the background
(this is because we are sending the artwork to our customer and we can't show another companies logos on the mock-ups).
Extra Details:
The logo needs to be designed in a way that it can be used as a sign for the store. The sign will be cut out to the shape of the logo.
The client likes the the style of "Dr. Seuss" logos and illustrations and wishes for the logo to be inspired by this style.
Attached are a few examples of Dr Seuss logos. Also attached is a scene from the Dr Seuss website (the Whoville section).
Important: The logo should contain a Female Character that is inspired by the Whoville characters. The character that will be used in the logo should be feminine (since Nancy is a woman).
