Logo update

My current logo was adapted from a standard template, and I only have low resolution .jpg versions, ok for small screen (barely), but no good for HD digital signage or print. As such I don't have the font or pms colours as it is.
The project is to redesign the logo, but maintain the existing colours and elements - however, with any graphic enhancements to improve it.
Production output required 300 dpi .jpg version or what ever you recommend for multimedia use.
Please note I will not consider changing logo all together, as I am employing it in a number of promotional products (such as company uniform embroidery) but I think that for electronic media and higher end print media, enhancements could be made. This job is to redesign and enhance.
