Create a Java client that works well on the native platform (e.g. Be able to minimize the application to system tray in Windows and auto start at boot up) The client should generate some data and submit the data over HTTP protocol.
We think knowing the following technologies might help with this project:
Java wrapper service
Java webstart
General web development
XML (basic structure and format)
The latest JRE does make it easier to integrate the client with the native platform (system tray etc.). This is a good alternative to the "Java wrapper service" mentioned above.
