We are looking for an iphone app developer to build an iphone/ipad app that will connect to software that resides on our customers machines. We had an app in progress with another developer but they are unable to continue so we need to start from scratch.
What's needed:
App developed to be submitted to Apple
All screens, designs, programming, etc required for the app to work
Connection between the app and the customer's own computer, set up with minimal install or configuration on the customer's machine, which will talk back and forth with our software
Our software is available with the data in either an Access database or SQL server. The app must be able to work with both.
Some notes about things you may need to know:
The database is stored on the customer’s own computer and is either in an Access database or SQL if they upgraded, it’s not a web based program. The data is stored locally at the customer's facility, on their own computers. We simply provide the software which they can either install from a disk or download via our support center.
The mobile application must allow the software user to view already added appointments as well as add new appointments into the database, view past history of appointments, and anything else that can be done in the software with the exception of billing. Basics will be: Viewing customers and appointments, adding new customers, pets and appointments. Modifying or deleting appointments, customers, etc.
We have security settings within the software that each owner can set for their employees and force them to log into the software. If they use the app, we would like it to have the same settings. For instance, someone may not have the ability to delete appointments, so in the app they wouldn’t be able to either. If this is not possible, we can forgo this in the beginning.
We would like the application to be viewable on both the iPhone and IPad if possible.
We have built a way to keep an ip address of our customers stored at our location which will update should it change on their side to avoid the need for a "live ip" but the software and the app need a way to talk back and forth, live.
We will accept hourly bids, if you can give us the max # of hours and pricing. We will need someone to make changes on an hourly basis after the project is completed.
