Specs for a J2ME port of a .NET app

We have a simple .NET app that has three screens and reads audios an images specified in an XML file used to outline procedures. We want the **specs** for the same functionality on a J2ME app.

## Deliverables

We have a .net app for viewing procedures. Screenshots of the app are attached.

The viewer allows the user to follow through a procedure. A procedure is specified on an xml file, whose structure is detailed on GuideView.xsd. Along each step in the procedure the user can:

1. Go to any of the edges by pressing a button

2. Hear an audio

3. See an image

The app has three main screens:

1. A splash screen ([url removed, login to view])

2. A "navigator" screen where metainformation about available procedures can be viewed and a list of procedures is available and they can be opened ([url removed, login to view])

3. A procedure window where the image for the current step is seen ([url removed, login to view])

We have this in .NET and can use it on a PC. We want to be able to open these files on a mobile device, using a J2ME APP. That means we need to have an application similar to the one we have. However, we are aware of some of the limits of screen size, memory, etc and want somebody to create an specification that we will use later to build an application.

The specification we require must contain at least the following items:

1. Screenshots of the proposed navigation between windows (The user first sees a list and can chooose these or that and then....) and a proposed appearance of said windows.

2. An explanation of how the issue of uploading a procedure into the phone can be solved. ie, how are procedures to be made available for the application. Should they be on the internet? Should the device be able to download them from the internet? Should the end user copy them from their PC? If so, how?

3. An explanation of APIs that should be used for each function, for instance, for AUDIO playing a certain version od CLDC may be required, so that a list of compatible devices is compiled from it.

4. A list of components that must be developed.

5. A proposed class diagram.

We don't want the software yet. We want to know what is possible and we want to have an idea of how to addapt the current application to mobile.
