html (css) to pdf conversion

I need a linux server solution to convert html to pdf. It should support css including float, background images and special characters like ö ü etc.
The applications i need to call it from are written in perl.
Your solution does not need to be in perl (although preferable)
I would like to be able to call your application, pass necesary parameters to it including filename or url to convert, and the path to save the resulting pdf to.
