I currently have a website based on Wordpress where members can submit sayings, images, etc for upload and they are then voted on. The website is in its basic stages and needs major upgrades to make it work better. The main work is in the following:

* The post voting/ranking system (ranking sitewide, per category, per tag, etc)

* The membership signup process (integrating with Facebook better).

$19/hr in 14-18 hours of work per your estimates.

## Deliverables

More details:

I want to make the page more interactive so that Facebook users can login and like, share, upload, etc.

Please check out the sites [[url removed, login to view]][1] and [[url removed, login to view]][2]

Right now my site is based on text jokes, quotes, etc. What I'd like to do is format it so it's based more on images than on words (although we will have the words in text below the images so Google can crawl the data). [url removed, login to view] has done a very good job for user experience and interacting with images.

I'd like to use a "like" system like mixcloud does (with the hearts) kind of like the smileys in 9gag, and we'll rank the phrases in that way. They would be ranked overall and by category. We'd also use that data to have a "What's Hot" and "Upcoming/Trending" section.

Then within each post/submission, the category is listed, which can also be followed. Kind of like how a genre of music can be followed on mixcloud.com. Like this: <[url removed, login to view]> 9gag doesn't really have categories because everything is similar, but for my site I'd like to target about 10 different categories.

I would also like to have a "Source" for each post. If we stick with using Wordpress, we can use the "tag" feature for this. This will be the author, book, movie or celebrity that the post content is from. Or we can make a new feature like "por" where the author is listed and then tags can be used to tag the book, movie, character, etc.

I'd also like people to be able to view all posts under a particular author ("por"), book, movie, etc.

Then in a different part of the post, the user can FB "share" or "tweet", etc. Like this: <[url removed, login to view]>

I actually prefer the way that 9gag does this: <[url removed, login to view]> They make it so that a like is internally recorded for ranking the content on the site, then the other options are to share the content on FB or twitter.

So I think there are probably plugins that already do a lot of this. Most of it doesn't need to be developed from scratch--just integrated into a whole. It would involve a Facebook login so that people can login (JanRain maybe), post ranking plugins, etc.

1. Facebook login

>> 2. Let the users to upload their own images

>> 3. Share and tweet

>> 4. Internal system to like a post

>> 5. Add the source of the post

>> 6. List posts by source

>> 7. Follow categories

>>

>> For point 5, we do not need to use the tag field, we can create a new

>> one.

>>

>> We can separate the project in 3 parts:

>> 1. First we make all the job related to Facebook and Twitter (points 1,

>> 2

>> and 3)

>> 2. Then we make the features to like a post and add a source (points 4,

>> 5

>> and 6)

>> 3. Then we define how the user follows category (point 7)
