Freelance Magento Developer

Hi,

I am looking for a developer to build out a custom Magento site as well as several custom admin modules.

I am starting the project with the front-end work. In terms of the overall scope, I will probably need 7 custom category templates, 2 custom product page templates, and 8 custom widgets. However, as a way to evaluate development capabilities, I want to start things off with a small custom widget project which is attached.

I am not looking for the cheapest bill rate. I realize that low bill rates do not always equate to low cost. I am looking for someone that can deliver on cost, quality and speed.

These are my non-negotiations:

* Brief daily status emails or IMs w/ hours logged

* All code must be optimized for page load performance, browser compatibility, and allow for problem free Magento upgrades. All code must work flawlessly with 1.4 and forward versions of Magento.

* All work will be done under NDA and Service Agreement and in no way be re-sold or re-purposed

* Each week I will send out a fully detailed wire-frame specification of a page or module I need developed. I would request that we have a quick call via Skype or Google chat to walk through the design and go over any questions.

* In return, I’m looking for the developer to provide an estimate (hours and cost) and a proposed start and finish date for the project.

* Upon agreement of both parties to move forward, I will send a PayPal payment for 50% of the project estimate. Upon viewing and testing the code on the developer’s server I will make a second payment of 25% and after I install and successfully run the code on my server I will complete payment for the remaining cost. If the project cost goes over 25% of estimate, or a start/finish date is missed by more than 4 days I’ll probably find another developer to use on any remaining work.

* The developer will deliver the code via zip file with instructions for installation.

I have attached a wire-frame specification, a simple category widget that has a list and grid view display. This is the first project I wish to engage on and use to evaluate development capabilities. I intend to use this widget by placing it in various static blocks across the magento site. Hopefully the specification will give you a sense for the style of design documentation which the developers would be working from.
