The website is meant to provide a resource for teachers and schools.
The front page will be the splash page. This is the default page if the user is not logged in. There will be 2 different account types, and they both need to be able to log in from this page. the login should be at the top right. top center will be the logo banner with images. Center page will be the welcome splash. this should be composed of a header and two separate join options. The bottom of page will have links to our text pages including Legal, contact information, and terms and conditions (this should be the same on every page of the site).
one of the groups will be a premium group. they will have access to a list that is only visible to members of this group. The existence of this list should not be known by anyone except the premium members.. This group will need to submit information for verification before they get the account. As such, I will need a way to approve these accounts manually. additionally, I will need a paypal and credit card payment options linked to this site(it will be required at the final page of the premium registration.
The second account type is free, but has limited browsing and posting privileges. they will be required to provide their name and age along with an email for verification(standard login information). they will also have an option to provide more information which will remain on their profile.
Non members will be able to browse certain entries without signing up, but cannot post anything.
Main page:
Top of the page will be the banner including the users name (welcome xxxxxxx) there will be a site map directly under the page banner. at this point it should only include Messsage board, news, and Home page.
The left side of the page will have our search box. This will include a list of schools that has been blacklisted, and must be searchable by name. There should be a drop down with the names of the countries that will be searchable. Each of those countries will need a complete city list. this is just part of the search function, so each city will not need its own page. however, once someone has specified a city and country the list should display only schools from that area. (schools will be clickable, and lead to more information about the posting, with comments enabled)
The top text of the search box will say search schools. under that will be the country drop down. once they have selected a country 2 options should appear. one will be a city drop down, and the other will be a search button below the drop down so that they can search by country if they want.
This will be accessible by all three groups of users.
Above the Search box will be a link that says Blacklist a school. This will only be clickable by standard members. Premium and free members can see this, but cannot use it. The submission process will be discussed in detail later. it is a 2 step process.
On the right side of the page there will be another box, and this will have several link options. This box is going to appear differently to premium members. for the premium members this should be another search box. It will say something at the top, and will include a search bar. this needs to be searchable by 2 different options. immediately below the search bar there will be the search now button, and below that another link. that lower link will say "submit teacher to blacklist". the submission process will be covered in detail later on. it will be similar to the school submission function.
For non premium users this will have links to potential advertisement/partnership pages. I want there to be 4 links.
The center of the page for all users will have two parts. The first part will include site news and updates. this will include up to 3 posts, and at the bottom of this portion there will be an option to click "read more news".
below that is a list of recently blacklisted schools.
