Overview: I would like a computer based memory game that would mimic what I have in the physical. Physical: 5- 4 ft square boxes Each box has dividers that can separate the boxes from 1 to 6 rows, and 1 to 40 columns per row of differing widths |a|b |c |d | 2- 2x4 ft boxes same as above but 20 columns Game setup: I assign each cell a unique set of definitions to describe what belongs in the cell (color, size, type, etc.). Then objects are given the user and they have to correctly place them in boxes. Each setup can use as few as one box or all the boxes. Program details: The program would read a setup file wanted or allow the user to build new ,or edit an existing one from the visual layout. potential fields (id 1,id 2,id 3, picture, width, end-row, end-box, etc). One of the boxes would be displayed on the screen with others available by either scrolling left or right, or by having a small representation of all the boxes at the bottom of the screen that would bring up the correct box when clicked on. Each cell would have the id info displayed or the picture . Each id may be part of a group that should be displayed with a color (tie = red). Each id should have an option of being turned on/off, mouse over. The user would have the option of playing the whole setup or just one of the boxes. The program would select randomly one cell from the playing area and display its ids or the picture and the user would have to click on the correct cell to move on. Some indication of success or failure should be displayed. It should keep track of the success/fail rate and speed of the user to track progress. It should modify its randomness to present items more often that have a higher fail rate. It should also have a timer that helps the user by highlighting a box and then a group and then the answer after a set time has passed without a correct choice. Background should be changeable. Development in VB.net maybe VB6 with professional look/feel. Well documented.
