Postfix Reconfiguration:
We currently host a domain in an Amazon EC2 instance, running a Ubuntu Lucid LAMP stack. The site sends out periodic emails for members of the site using postfix and a php script. The server has an Amazon public IP.
Postfix s currently configured to relay all mail from the domain through a third-party provider due to issues with Amazon public IP´s being listed in SPAM blackholes (due to still unresolved Amazon reverse DNS issues - even though we have cleared our Elastic IP´s through Amazon´s reverse DNS request service).
We are now looking to host another domain in the same EC2 server. We do not want to relay emails from this domain through the existing third party provider.
We are looking for a Linux System Admin with good postfix experience to reconfigure postfix to enable mail from [url removed, login to view] to be relayed through [url removed, login to view] and the mail from [url removed, login to view] to be relayed from secondrelayservice.com.
In addition to this, the administrators of the existing domain are sent regular emails from the site. These emails are currently not delivered as by mistake, the main domain name of the company using domain has been included as the postfix hostname. As the hostname is [url removed, login to view], any mail originating from the site is not sent to the mail server of [url removed, login to view] (which is entirely separate from the web server) as postfix thinks the mail is for a local account and instead of relaying it through the [url removed, login to view], it sends it back to itself.
In reconfiguring, this situation needs to be avoided for any future domains by declaring a separate CNAME such as [url removed, login to view] and sitemail.seconddomain.org. DNS records can be created accordingly.
Due to non-disclosure issues with the client, we cannot provide ssh direct to the server and the provider will have to work through either a screen sharing programme (we use [url removed, login to view]) or by sending us the configuration files. We can send the original configuration files.
