Looking to create an interactive map and information program for a shopping mall.

Successful applicant should have completed at least one iPhone app and be able to work with location-based programming and information that is collected through the application and used for updates for all users.

We have detailed mock-ups of each screen type that we can provide after you have been screened.

WE REQUIRE A HARD COST ESTIMATE - NOT HOURLY.

Detail:

There will be a set of fixed icons at the bottom of the screen (shops, restaurants, attractions, to-do and more). Users should be able to customize. See NYTimes iPhone app.

Most information (the heart of the program) will be static. Exceptions:

* User feedback for restaurants (stars) and attraction wait times (this mall has rides) that would be used to update information for ALL users

* Daily hours and entertainment schedule. It should be easy for us to update ourselves

* GPS - we want to have a map of the mall drawn and used to show users where they are in the mall.

* User-created to-do lists and ability to enter where parked (lot, row).

* User-created entertainment scheduling (see below).

The map will be dymanic and will need to be computer/hand drawn (using a satellite image is rather ugly). Zoomable. Certain items hard coded, like restrooms and ATMs (with simple icons). Users can create a to-do/to-see list on a separate screen (see below). When this is done, a circle will show up on the map designating a to-do. When the item is checked off, a check mark will replace it on the map. Touching the circle would bring up store/attraction name. Touching name would take user to a detail screen.

We want to show users where they are in the mall using iPhone GPS. Please provide a separate cost estimate if it is difficult.

Beyond the map, users will be able to search for stores, attractions and food using simple touch menus or a search function. Screens never go more than four deep. For example, you can click on a Stores icon at the bottom of the screen. Then a new screen with options like Department, Electronics, etc. Touch one of these and you get a store-by-store list. Touch on the store for detail, including a thumb-nail photo. User should be able to add the store/attraction/food to his or her to-do list from the list view or detail view. User should also be able to click on a "Map it" button that will take a user to the map and show where a store is located.

There will be multiple ways to seach: by name, mall area, type (store, food, etc), and product. All will eventually take the user to a list, with store/resturant detail one screen further down. There will be approximately 100 separate entries. We can provide all information exactly as it should appear for each.

For attractions such as merry-go-round, we want users to be able to enter the wait time and star rating. This will be built into each user's screen that shows "Average rating" and "Wait time." Wait time will also reflect when the wait time was last updated. Please provide a separate price estimate for this if difficult. We believe this is key. Time entered by one user would be used to update the application for all users. Star ratings would be averaged and updated.

Users should be able to create an hours-specific list of things to do based on the day's schedule of entertainment. For example, if they would like to see a band that plays at 3 pm, they should be able to click on this and have it added to separate calendar list (or possibly to the to-do list). We believe it is important to create alerts, either through the iPhone calendar application or otherwise.
