I'm looking for a company to create a Flash-based Player and Flash-Based/ActiveX-Based Recorder, almost exactly like the ones featured on KSolo.com. Please do not post an offer until you have registered on [url removed, login to view] and actually used their product, if you have to disassemble it to figure it out, please do so. We know for a fact that it uses Flash for the player, and Flash/ActiveX custom plugin for the Recorder.
One major exception is that we DON'T need the Karaoke part of it, i.e we don't care to show any lyrics on the screen at all. All we want is the ability for people to Record over Instrumental music. The key to the whole thing is that the Voice & Instrumental has to be IN SYNC!!! With Flash alone, this is not possible, you have to use Flash Media Server and network latency always causes the recording to be slightly out of sync. We're not quite sure how [url removed, login to view] does it, but we suspect the recording is done locally with the ActiveX plugin rather than using FMS. If you have to use FMS then explain to us why & how, we own FMS too. Please investigate and explain to us how you will do it.
We need the Recorder to be dynamic, it should be able to take variables for the Recording #, Instrumental #, User ID # and store the recording server-side with a filename based on those variables. The player should be the same, you feed it those variables and it pulls up the appropriate file dynamically.
