Game Website - Logo Needed

I need a logo which will go on my website. It will consist of two parts:
(1) The abbreviated version (Two letters)
(2) The full name (of the domain)
e.g: (1) MS (2) [url removed, login to view]
This will be similar to the one found here:

However, I do not wish to copy these - and the final product must be very different from this one!
COLOURS

DESIGN
For the #1 part I like the look of this:

For my logo I want the two colour part e.g: "MY" in one colour and "SITE" in another colour. And I also like the 3D effect there, but I am not limited to it, any good combination of the M and Y together is welcomed. I am not that creative, hence this post, so I am looking for someone with lots of ideas.
NEEDS:
*To create a high quality photoshop image that can be re-sized and edited as needed at a later date by myself
*Communication (e-mail) - so that we can keep up-to-date
*To adapt to criticisms and alterations wanted by myself
HOW TO APPLY?
Bid as usual, but PLEASE show example of work and logos if you have any, as this will help in deciding who to go with.
If you want the best chance at this, make a mock logo for me.
NOTE: Of course my site is not called "MYSITE", so the logo you make can not be stolen by me, as it has no purpose to me as "MYSITE", this is just used to explain how the logo will need to be.
