Position: Senior Java Developer – Short Term Contract
Department: IT
Reporting to: CTO
Location: Bluedot Innovation, Melbourne
Bluedot Innovation is an Australian-based technology and solutions company that specialises in high precision location-based services and payments. Our vision is to create a new standard for Geolocation services by developing innovative mobile technologies that provide high precision without incurring significant battery drain.
Overview
We are in need of a Senior Java Developer for a short term contract to join the Bluedot team to design and develop a web application to support a front end mobile SDK. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to adjust and work as part of a highly agile and innovative team.
Key Requirements
o Ability to work on site at Bluedot Offices is a must
o Minimum of 5+ Years of Enterprise Java Web Development Experience building highly scalable enterprise applications
o Exposure to Mongo DB is a must
o Must have advanced skills working with Tomcat application server and Apache Web Server
o HTML5,CSS3, Spring, Hibernate, REST Web Services using JAX-RS, JavaScript, MVN, JUNIT, Easy mock and Ajax skills
o Agile SCRUM methodology
o Understanding of Mobile Technologies both iOS and Android
o Wire Frames
o Windows and Linux
Key responsibilities
• Design and Development
o Design and Develop the Java object model to persist into Mongo
o Architect design and develop the
o Design the Develop the Web application to facilitate the backend functionality of Bluedot Mobile SDK
o Design and develop a number of User Interfaces as agreed
o Produce detailed Design Documentation
o Create Deployment Scripts
• Testing and Implementation
o Closely work with other senior members of the Team to test and integrate the solution into the Bluedot Mobile SDK.
o Assist with load/stress testing of the back end to make sure back end scales well
o Package and Deploy the backend to application servers
