We're building a series of products that engage people around making charitable donations. We're close to releasing our first product, and have 3 products in the pipeline.
I'm looking to hire an experienced rails engineer as a partner in my startup. I have raised a small seed round and have traction on the product. I am currently doing most of the programming, although the truth is I'd like to add someone to the team that is a better developer than me. I'm a great strategic thinker, fundraiser, and manager, but not super productive developer. I understand the technical issues, but am best utilized not doing development
I'm looking for someone who has experience as a:
Ruby on Rails developer
Javascript - Preferably JQuery
Building a scalable enterprise webservice
Pluses but not required -
Strong sense of UI design.
I'm open to talking if you don't have Ruby on Rails experience but think you are a strong Software Engineer and are willing to put in some time on your own to learn RoR's.
I'm looking for someone who is interested in long term engagement as a partner. I can pay a salary and I'd like to work with someone who has interest in also earning long term ownership in the business as part of their compensation.
I currently am working in Santiago, Chile and will want to work setting up a remote office together via skype. You can bid a fixed price for a monthly base salary. We should be able to increase salaries once we raise additional funding. I'm putting a placeholder for the budget for a 6 month salary, but I am looking for a per month price quoted.
Also I am applying to several of the prestigious US incubators, Techstars and YCombinator. Ideally you would be able to be in the US legally for 3 months this summer if we got accepted.
