Making a children's interactive iPad book app, actually a series of 3, about a handicapped dog and his two gay owners, based on a real family in Australia.

All the assets have been made for book #1, but there are 25 pages of art that need to be exported as individual layers -- WITH scale and position data -- from Photoshop into PNG images and XML data files.

The master Photoshop document has data for around 15 pages, which share many layers, with position and visibility defined per-page as layer comps.

Photoshop script would need to read the document layer comp, layer set, and layer hierarchy and create an internal representation.

Then script would need to save out images that need to be exported (with specifyable options for what/how to export) and create XML files which contain the sprite references and position/size/scale data to be imported into the application by the programmer.

Book #2 is already written and is being illustrated right now. Anyone who provides good work on project #1, which has a super tiny budget, will be at the top of the list to help out on Book #2 once we get some profits coming in from #1.

This is an international crew and we work via Dropbox, Google Sites, Email, and SVN.

Would prefer someone who can write a Photoshop Export Script in JavaScript, but any other language supported by the Photoshop API would be fine as long as you are willing to maintain the code or hand it over with comments/documentation.

Expected that the script will run in Photoshop CS5 and CS5.5, with backwards compatibility being a plus.

Preferred export format for the layer metadata is XML (Apple Property List), but JSON would work just as well.
