Track Changes within XML Documents

We have developed a cms that stores content as XML. This content is presented online via xsl. A series of editors have rights to change the content over time. What we are looking for is a method to track and monitor these changes and offer administrators/publishers to ability to rollback to older content.

We have developed the rollback but need some assistance on the track changes. We are looking at 'word' style functionality, but it does not need to look exactly like the UI in word (if it can with funky DHTML etc that would be ideal).

Changes can be tracked and displayed inline e.g. new content in different colours, deletions with strikethrough etc. At the moment we are looking at comparing only two versions e.g. the latest and a legacy version. However, the ability to track changes across all versions is desirable. I have included an example xml document, only the text nodes will be compared e.g. title, abstract and body text. Also the latest development ideas we have had so far...

The system must be developed using asp. Third party components will be considered but cost will be a deciding factor. Using diff tools and integrating using vb etc is a possibility. Manipulating the documents and using Microsoft word is not allowed.
