php problem with twitter auto post

I have a script that automatically changes the background image on your twitter profile by logging in on my website.
There is an issue though with setting the values: (this is only a small section of the whole script, but this is the vital part)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<?php
//Variables section
$background="[url removed, login to view]{file_name}.png";
$profile_background_color="{background_color}";
$profile_text_color="{text_color}";
$profile_link_color="{link_color}";
$profile_sidebar_fill_color="{side_color}";
$profile_sidebar_border_color="{border_color}";
$message="message automatically tweeted this works ok";
$user_name="twitter_user_to_follow";
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{file_name}, {background_color}, {text_color}, {link_color}, {side_color}, {border_color}
These variables do not work correctly.
The values of the variables come from another script, when these variables such as {background_color} are placed onto the page on their own they will produce whatever has been input to them, so {background_color} will for example produce 000000 (hex code)
But when they are placed within <?php they do not execute.
So instead of displaying
$background="[url removed, login to view]";
They output
$background="[url removed, login to view]{file_name}.png";
And the twitter background does not change correctly on twitter, it changes the background to {file_name} instead of the actual file name.
I need a provider who can fix this for me or who knows a fix already. If you need more details on this please PMB me.
