Setup Lion Server

Have a Mac server running Lion 10.7.4

We have a web host that currently provides mail and web hosting for our domain. We want to keep them for the web host, but change the mail server, and use the same domain for every other service.

Domain is hosted through GoDaddy.

At the end of the day, it should work like this:

web service -> remote server (as it is right now)

all other services -> local server

We have a static IP already and our server is not behind a router.

We need the following services configured:

mail, jabber (ichat), open directory, address book, file sharing, ical server, podcast, profile manager, time machine, VPN, web (for internal communication only, different domain or subdomain needed?), wiki, firewall, software update, dns.

The goal is to provide all these services to remote machines within our organization.

The server is currently setup but not functioning as I would like it to be. We can do a fresh-install of the OS and Server if needed. Remote access is not a problem, whatsoever.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I currently work for an organization that provides managed services for financial institutions, this is something I see on a daily basis. I would only need some more information but it is pretty straightforward.

First of all need managed DNS Services. You did't mentioned that your primary DNS is godaddy or your hosting provider. In any case it will be much better to go for a managed DNS service. I have my own DNS servers and More
